Constituency groups
The Maricopa Community Colleges Constituency Groups reflect the vision, mission and values of the organization in promoting student success. MCCCD constituency groups provide diverse perspectives to effectively meet the needs of students and employees by:
- Assisting with recruitment, hiring, retention and advancement of quality diverse employees
- Identifying concerns that disparately impact different groups and providing recommendations or strategies to address these concerns
- Identifying and assisting with effective outreach and recruitment strategies for students
- Identifying needs and market niches that will increase Maricopa's reach in serving our diverse communities
- Assisting with the development of a climate that allows all students and employees to succeed.
Participation in Maricopa's Constituency Groups allows employees to develop skills in leadership, communication, advocacy, organization, event planning, fundraising, team building and other "soft skills" that are valuable to Maricopa as a whole and to individual employee professional and personal development.
