How to Apply

View Current Openings or Check Search Status Applying for most positions is straight-forward. However, some positions have special application requirements: Adjunct Faculty, Faculty, Clinical Nursing Pool and Public Safety Officer Pool. Please visit the Maricopa Skill Center for a list of current job openings and skill center application procedures.

Accomodations: If you are called for an interview, and you need an accommodation to participate, please inform the caller who will coordinate your request with the Employee Relations Department.

Internal Applicants: Apply through My Maricopa > HRMS > Self Service > Recruiting Activities > Careers.
Please note that if you become a Finalist or Preferred Candidate, your current supervisor may be contacted as a reference.

Background Checks: As of March 1, 2008, background checks are conducted on all finalists for employment, except adjunct faculty. The background check will consist of a Social Security Trace/Address Verification, and a Criminal History Search. Depending on the position, a Sex Offender Check and Consumer Credit Report could be ordered. As per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you may obtain a copy of your rights by contacting us.

Internet Searches: Information about you that is available on the internet may be considered.

E-Verify: As of Jan. 1, 2008, Maricopa Community Colleges is participating in the E-verify program. Maricopa will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee's Form I9 to confirm work authorization.
