All MCCCD employees who qualify are encouraged to apply through the faculty transfer process.
To qualify as a faculty transfer applicant, an employee must be working in a MCCCD Governing Board approved position (except specially funded and short-term).
Specially Funded, Skill Center, adjunct, temporary, time card, short-term employees (including Athletic Specialists and One-Semester-Only or One-Year-Only MCCCD Governing Board approved employees) are NOT internal applicants and are ineligible to apply through the faculty transfer process.
How to Apply
All qualified employees who are interested in a faculty transfer position must submit an online application through the internal online application process in their HRMS Employee Self Service account. To access this, sign in to your HRMS Employee Self Service Account, select Self Service, then Recruiting Activities, then Careers.
If you are a non-faculty employee or current faculty applying to teach a different discipline, you must submit:
- Cover letter
- Faculty Course Completion Form (rtf)
If you are a current faculty teaching in the same discipline, you must submit:
An online application by midnight on the faculty transfer closing date. Simply complete your basic profile (name, address, etc.) and submit the application to the appropriate posting # along with:
- Cover letter
- (It is not necessary to include a Faculty Course Completion Form)
NOTE: It is no longer necessary to submit separate applications packets to the college (i.e. President, Vice-President, Department Chair).
