Blended Overtime (OT) Rates for Non-Exempt Employees Serving in Certified Teaching Capacity
The US Department of Labor has rendered an interpretation of one of the FSLA provisions that impact educational institutions.Classified (Non-Exempt) employees who serve in a certified/teaching capacity in addition to their regular forty (40) hour assignment must be paid a blended overtime rate.
