The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation is pleased to offer the following scholarship for the spring 2010 term with a due date of November 6, 2009:

Society for the Arts Scholarship


The Society for the Arts Scholarship is available to students pursuing a music degree at Mesa Community College, a culinary arts degree at Phoenix College or a visual arts degree at Scottsdale Community College.

The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation is pleased to offer the following scholarship for the spring 2010 term with a due date of December 1, 2009:

TriWest Military Scholarship


The TriWest Military Scholarship is available to Maricopa Community College District students who are service members in the active, reserve, or guard component of any U.S. military service branch or who are the spouse or dependent of a service member in the active, reserve, or guard component of any U.S. military service branch.

Spring Melissa Wright Scholarship


The Spring Melissa Wright Scholarship is available to high school students graduating in spring of 2009. All applicants must be planning to pursue a degree in a law-related field. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation is pleased to offer the following scholarship for the 2010-11 academic year with a due date of April 2, 2009:

Eloisa Diaz Educational Foundation Scholarship


The Eloisa Diaz Educational Foundation Scholarship is offered to graduates of high schools in the southwestern metropolitan Phoenix area, including Tolleson, Avondale, Goodyear, and Buckeye. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

The due date for the following Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation scholarships has passed, and the selection process is currently underway. Please check back regularly for additional opportunities and deadline extensions.

Adelante Scholarship


The Adelante Foundation was founded by Nadine and Eddie Basha to assist individuals with the desire to pursue their education. The Adelante Scholarship is available for ACE alumni. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

American Association of University Women Scholarships


AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. The following AAUW Scholarships are for young women graduating from a high school in the Mesa Unified School District in spring of 2009 and women over the age of twenty one who are returning to college after considerable time away from school. Please refer to the criteria below for additional details.

APS Scholarship


The APS Scholarship is available to ACE program students graduating in spring of 2009, students in the Chandler-Gilbert EUT program, and dependants of Pinnacle West employees. Program restrictions apply. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Chandler Republican Women Scholarship


The Chandler Republican Women's Club strives to make politics a real and vital force in the lives of Arizona women who want to have a voice in their future. The CRW Scholarship is available to women who are registered Republicans. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Chicanos Por La Causa Scholarship


Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a statewide community development corporation (CDC)that promotes positive change and self-sufficiency to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of those it serves. The CPLC Scholarship is available to students who plan to enroll full-time at a Maricopa Community College for the 2009-10 academic year. Strong emphasis is placed on community service and involvement. Recipients must agree to complete forty hours of community service, to be monitored by CPLC. Dual/Concurrent Enrollment Scholarship


The Dual/Concurrent Enrollment Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students through the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, volunteers, staff, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to address community needs through charitable giving. The scholarship is available to student who are paying out-of-pocket to earn college credits while in high school. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

East Valley Women's League Scholarship


East Valley Women's League is a group formed through friendships that help empower and inspire women and children in our community to lead more promising lives. The EVWL Scholarship is offered to single mothers with children of any age. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Helen Dyar King Scholarship


The Helen Dyar King Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students through the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, volunteers, staff, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to address community needs through charitable giving. The scholarship is available to active or former members, as well as dependents or grandchildren of any current or former member of the United States armed services or law enforcement. Impact for Enterprising Women Scholarship


Impact for Enterprising Women is a non-profit educational, non-political organization dedicated to helping women make a positive difference in their life, their community and their workplace. The Impact for Enterprising Women Scholarship is available to women who are returning to college after considerable time away. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Ingebritson Scholarship


The Ingebritson Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students through the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, volunteers, staff, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to address community needs through charitable giving. The scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in nursing, engineering, finance, or education. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Joseph William Rymer Memorial Scholarship


The Joseph William Memorial Scholarship is available to Paradise Valley Community College students pursuing a degree in fire science, with the intention to become a firefighter. Please refer to the following crtieria for additional details.

Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation Scholarship


The Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to supporting Arizona and causes that help those who live and work in Arizona. The Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related subject, with second priority going to students pursuing a degree in healthcare. L.L. Via Scholarship


The L.L. Via Scholarship was established in memory of a distinguished business educator in Arizona. The scholarship is available to students pursuing a business-related or computer-related degree. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Linda B. Rosenthal Scholarship


Linda B. Rosenthal Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students in honor of Linda B. Rosenthal, who served on the Maricopa Community College District Governing Board for twenty nine years before retiring in December of 2008. The scholarship is available to women returning to college after considerable time away. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Margaret Bergstein, R.N. Memorial Scholarship


The Margaret Bergstein, R.N. Memorial Scholarship is available to students entering the third block of the nursing program in fall of 2009 at GateWay Community College, with second preference going to students in nursing programs at other Maricopa Community Colleges. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Melva Joan Owens Scholarship


The Melva Joan Owens Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students through the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, volunteers, staff, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to address community needs through charitable giving. The scholarship is available to students entering the third or fourth block of a nursing program in fall of 2009. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Pauline and Paul Butler Nursing Scholarship


The Pauline and Paul Butler Nursing Scholarship is available to students who are enrolled in a nursing program at a Maricopa Community College. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Pfister Family Scholarship


The Pfister Family Scholarship is available to Maricopa Community College District students pursuing a degree in public service. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Refugee Women's Scholarship


The Refugee Women's Scholarship is available to students who have immigrated to the United States from another country to escape danger, persecution, and/or oppression. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Ron Bergamo Television Scholarship


The Ron Bergamo Television Scholarship was established in memory of Ron Bergamo, a distinguished Arizona television station manager. The scholarship is available to students participating in a televisioin-related program of study. Pleas refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Sandra Day O'Connor Scholarship


The Sandra Day O'Connor Scholarship is provided to Maricopa Community College students in honor of Supreme Court Justice O'Connor, who retired in January of 2006. This scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in the legal field. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Sotero and Jesusita Diaz Scholarship


The Sotero and Jesusita Diaz Scholarships is available to graduates of Tolleson High School. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Stephanie Rios Memorial Scholarship


The Stephanie Rios Memorial Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in education. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Trudy Calabrese Memorial Scholarship


The Trudy Calabrese Memorial Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree or certificate in business or medical assisting. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

West Class of 1960 Memorial Scholarship


The West Class of 1960 Memorial Scholarship is available to students graduating from Metro Tech High School in spring of 2009. Emphasis is placed on involvement in school activities and community service. Please refer to the following criteria for additional details.

Wilna G. Tygum Nursing Scholarship


The Wilna G. Tygum Scholarship is offered to Maricopa Community College students through the Arizona Community Foundation, a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, volunteers, staff, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to address community needs through charitable giving. The scholarship is available to students entering the third or fourth block of a nursing program in fall of 2009.
