students incarcerated at one of the community colleges’ teaching sites, the Lewis
Prison. Students from Buckeye families are provided educational services at the
Buckeye Union High School teaching site which serves current high school students
as well as providing evening and weekend coursework and training, with students
often being working adults. In addition, many of the Maricopa Community Colleges
maintain partnerships with corporations, industries and non-profits organizations
located in or near the Town of Buckeye.

The Maricopa Community Colleges served more than 277,000 students in 2000-2001
and maintained corporate partnerships with more than 1,000 businesses in the Valley.
