TOWN OF PARADISE VALLEY
The Town of Paradise Valley is a compact town located
between Phoenix and Scottsdale
in the north east valley with a population approaching 14,000. The Maricopa
Community
Colleges currently serve the Town of Paradise Valley through the Paradise
Valley Community
College campus at 18401 North 32nd Street, the Rio Salado College Paradise
Valley Mall
facility and through an additional teaching site at Paradise Valley
High School. Paradise Valley residents also enjoy the educational and
community services provided through other colleges within the ten-college
Maricopa County Community College District.

Many students access their educational services through
the Internet and others attend
Paradise Valley Mall, Paradise Valley High School or other teaching
sites located in Phoenix
and Scottsdale which provide evening and weekend coursework and training,
with students
often being working adults. In addition,many of the Maricopa Community
Colleges maintain
partnerships with corporations, industries and non-profits organizations
located in Paradise
Valley.
Paradise Valley Community College opened its doors
is a fast-growing college with well known athletics competition and
high quality education centering on university transfer, international
business, hazardous materials technology and Fine Arts. In 2001, Paradise
Valley Community College served approximately 18,000 students in 510,075
square feet of facility on the 32nd Street and Union Hills Drive facility.
The annual budget of Paradise Valley Community College is approximately
$18,000,000 with most of those funds being spent on salaries or on the
purchase of goods and materials from state and local merchants.
The Maricopa Community Colleges served more than 277,000
students in 2000-2001 and
maintained corporate partnerships with more than 1,000 businesses in
the Valley. Of all high
school graduates in Maricopa County, 45%attend one of the community
colleges within one
year of graduation.
