Personal leave hours are allocated at the beginning of each calendar year for an
amount equal to 4 working days (32 hours) per year. (Residential faculty receive
24 hours and Service faculty receive 28 hours per calendar year.)
The personal leave hours that are allocated are NOT in addition to sick
leave hours but will be subtracted from sick leave hours when used. In other
words, if you use personal hours, you must have sick leave hours available.
Personal time is not to be used routinely to come in late or leave early from
work. One additional day may be approved by the appropriate college
President/Provost or Vice Chancellor with prior approval.
