TITLE: COORDINATOR INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS – SITE OPERATIONS

Job Summary


Markets, develops and administers educational programs at an assigned location to meet the needs of businesses and/or the community.


Scope


This position works in the area of instruction. Work contacts include staff, faculty, administrators, students, representatives of business and industry, government agencies and the community.  Equipment used includes standard office equipment.


Supervision Received


This position reports to the Dean Instruction; receives general direction regarding routine and standard matters; specific instructions for non‑routine and highly sensitive matters.


Supervision Exercised


Depending on the location/department, may supervise the positions of Community Education Technician, Admissions, Registration and Records Service Representative and/or other assigned staff, students and temporaries.


Representative Duties


Plans, develops and administers educational programs at an assigned location; oversees all operations of site; may be responsible for coordinating facilities management; coordinates site schedule for all courses; develops and monitors budget; establishes an implements procedures for registration, scheduling, record keeping and evaluation of programs; markets and promotes the offerings at the site; resolve issues; may provide testing facilities and recordkeeping; performs related duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Abilities


Knowledge of: current training needs of business and the community; instructional methodologies for adult learners; budget and program planning and development.


Ability to: promote and implement non‑traditional educational programs to meet the needs of business and the community; coordinate, direct and evaluate the work of others; develop and monitor budgets; make effective oral and written presentations; communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees in business and the community; establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.


Training and Experience


Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.  An example of this would be a college degree in education, business or related field and/or experience in the promotion or coordination educational programs.



Special Conditions of Employment


Positions in this class require incumbents to work flexible hours. Some positions may require a State of Arizona Class D Driver's license.
