TITLE: COORDINATOR TESTING

Job Summary
Coordinates assessment programs of the college. Conducts and provides research, analysis and
interpretation of data. Prepares
reports and recommendations for an assigned administrator.
Scope
This position works in an assigned area. Work contacts
include administrators, faculty, staff and students. Equipment used includes standard office equipment.
Supervision Received
This position reports to an assigned administrator; receives
general direction regarding routine and standard matters; specific instructions
regarding non‑routine and highly sensitive matters.
Supervision Exercised
Depending on location/department, may supervise the
positions of Testing Technician and/or other assigned staff.
Representative Duties
Plans and organizes testing activities; develops and
implements research design; plans, conducts and analyzes collection of data;
interprets assessment policies and procedures and analyzes student results;
provides direction for establishing computer programs to accommodate data
collection/analyses; provides testing for students, as well as external testing
for national certification; develops goals and objectives for learning
strategies; may advise faculty on program revisions for educational improvement
and innovation; maintains budget; provides resource materials; prepares
reports; evaluates program; performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of: research methods; statistical analyses; tests
and measurements; assessment and procedures; policies and procedures associated
with distance learning, computer based accelerated, proctored and traditional
formats.
Ability
to: design and coordinate projects; collect and evaluate data; prepare reports;
communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish cooperative working
relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned
duties.
Training and Experience
Any combination of education, training and experience that
provides the required knowledge and abilities.
An example of this would be a college degree in education or related
field and/or demonstrated experience in research methodology or assessment.
Special Conditions of Employment
Some positions may require a Class D Driver’s License.
