Statewide Technologies To Support Transfer Articulation

Statewide staff supports all of the following entities and systems that are funded through the Arizona Transfer Articulation Support Systems (ATASS). ATASS includes the:

Arizona Course Applicability System - CAS provides information on courses, course equivalencies, and program requirements at a CAS institution to anyone who accesses a CAS website.

Arizona Course Equivalency Guide -The CEG indicates how Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona accept transfer coursework from the Arizona public community colleges.    (Contact: center for curriculum and Transfer Articulation)

Arizona Course Equivalency Tracking System - ACETS is designed to track course equivalency decisions as they go through the statewide articulation process in Arizona. ACETS will eventually support all decision-making required to establish equivalencies in Arizona, from the initial request for an equivalency evaluation through the creation of a report to be used by DARS encoders. (Contact: center for curriculum and Transfer Articulation)

Arizona Curriculum Routing and Evaluation System - ACRES is an electronic means for creating, routing, evaluating and approving new courses, course modifications, course deletions and curriculum changes within an institution (Contact: Center for Curriculum and Transfer Articulation)

Arizona Statewide System for Information on Student Transfer (ASSIST) - ASSIST is a relational database containing enrollment and degree information on students attending Arizona’s three public universities and ten public community college districts. The information is made available to participating institutions through a statewide data warehouse. [District Representatives: District Director for Curriculum & Transfer Articulation - District Director for Strategic information Technologies]

These systems and other information are accessible through a state maintained web site. Click here for more information about ATASS.

At the District level, Maricopa has a designated representative for each of the decision-making committees for the support systems listed above. At the college level, there are representatives on the statewide users groups that provide feedback and direction for the systems.
