General Studies, General Education and the Roles of the Faculty Instructional Councils

Because courses are approved for general education on a district wide basis, the college initiator should involve the appropriate instructional council(s) in the earliest stages of proposal development. It is the role of the instructional council to guide and approve the development of general education proposals.
