Faculty General Studies Representative
The Maricopa
Community Colleges General Studies Faculty Representative serves
to represent Maricopa interests at university and community college
level. The Representative serves on the:
- Arizona State University at the Tempe campus (ASU General
Studies Council (UGSC)
- ASU at the West campus - Senate Curriculum and Program/General
Studies Committee (SCP/GSC)
- Maricopa Community Colleges District Curriculum Committee,
the committee charged with the review and recommendations
on curricular proposals developed by the Maricopa Community
Colleges. The Representative serves as a resource on general
education.
- The Representative may also serve on other committees,
councils, or groups addressing general education and as
requested by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Other responsibilities of the General Studies Faculty Representative
include the support needed by Maricopa faculty in developing
general studies proposals for university review and action
and communicating final outcomes to appropriate Maricopa
faculty and other
constituents
as described in the Curriculum Procedures Handbook, General
