A Quick Snapshot... "The Maricopa Community College District is built on a
very strong foundation in a very vibrant community." The Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) was established in 1962. Today, the system operates 10 colleges and two skill centers and is the second largest of its kind in the nation. MCCD enrolls more than 200,000 students each year in credit and non-credit courses. Additionally, there are some 5,000 international students with either refugee, visa or immigrant status. We support our local universities and at least
62% of Arizona State University's upper division enrollment comes from students with transfer credits earned from previous or concurrent enrollment at any one of the Maricopa Community Colleges.
