| International Student Admission Requirements Requirements - Fill out an International Student Application for the college of your choice.
- Submit official transcripts, certificates, and diplomas from secondary schooling and from any colleges or universities
attended. If the original language is not English, a certified English translation must accompany all transcripts, certificates, and diplomas.
- Document your English proficiency. If you wish to enroll in an academic program at the college you must present evidence of English language proficiency. If the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is used to satisfy this requirement, you must score at least 500 (on the traditional TOEFL) or 173 (on the computer-based test.) The dean
or director of admission and records of the college may accept other proof of English language proficiency for admission purposes.
If you are applying to an Intensive English Program, evidence is needed of at least intermediate command of English by one or more of the following:
At least six years of English language instruction. Prospective students may send an official transcript in English as proof.
A minimum TOEFL score of 400 or 97 (on the computer-based test.).
An original letter of recommendation attesting to the applicant's English proficiency at the intermediate level. This may be from an instructor, school principal, or the director of an English language institute.
