Enterprise Identity
Management
Our vision is that each student, faculty and staff
member
have the ability to be identified to MCCCD
in ways that are
easy and infrequent. Having been
identified, we want that
person to have access to
services and activities that are
relevant based on
the
things we know about him or her
and
about his
or her
previous activities with MCCCD. Our
ultimate
goal is
for the people we serve to be presented
with
a seamless experience where we bring them reliable
and
secure interactions with Maricopa, without need-
ing
to
specify over and over again who they are and
what
their
relationship is to MCCCD. Behind the
scenes,
we know
that
the Identity Management
System
provides a low cost
and
institutionally effect-
ive
foundation for accomplishing our vision.
A Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) is a unique user-
name.
Creating an Enterprise ID is a prerequisite
to obtaining
access to various MCCCD resources
such as access to
student self-service options
(i.e., enrolling in or registering for classes online),
and resources related to employee
positions in
MCCCD. These resources may include: Blackboard,
DSS, HRMS, PS Portal, Crystal
Enterprise Reporting
and others. The process of creating
an Enterprise ID
will also give you an entry in the Maricopa Staff
Directory which will allow Maricopa employees to
view
your contact information.
