Frequently Asked Questions

  1. District supplied reports will be available
    through Business Objects Enterprise InfoView,
a web based reporting platform for running,
    scheduling, distributing, and modifying reports.
InfoView accounts are requested through your
    college helpdesk.

  2. Our experience is that Netscape isn't the
best Web Browser for this solution. While
other Web Browser applications may work,
the preferred web browser is currently Internet
    Explorer.

  3. Yes, campuses will be provided with
copies of Crystal Reports and training to
    create custom reports. With Business
Objects Enterprise, some groups will be
able to modify reports through the Enterprise
    Reporting web based tool.

  4. This is dependent upon the document
format. If a report is in the Acrobat Adobe
format, you may need to have the Adobe
Reader installed on your computer to view
the report. If a report is in Crystal Reports
format, you may need to install the Crystal
Reports Viewer locally. There may be other
formats that also require that you have
specific software installed locally to view
a report, for example Excel. Please contact
your helpdesk to install software locally.

  5. A dialog box may be requesting information
before the document is displayed. Some-
times these dialog boxes are buried on the
desktop and you may have to close some
applications to complete the dialog box so
    that the document displays properly.

  6. This may happen when there is a server or
Windows upgrade at your location, which may
occur occasionally. There are some changes
which will take effect once your computer is
re-started. The issue should be resolved by
logging off and restarting your computer.
