CFS to BDS Accounts Feed
When BDS was originally implemented nine
years ago, several processes were tabled as
'Stage Two.'  One of those processes involved
the programmatic feed of CFS Account Code
data to the Budget Development System. This
has now been completed and implemented.
Design and development of the project re-
quired the efforts and cooperation of the BDS
programmer, CFS development team and
Business Services.  The process reduces the
manual workload of both Business Services
and Budget Office staff as well as increasing
the synergy between two important systems.

New Online Contract Assignments Services
Online Contract Assignments have been rolled
out to District, South Mountain and the Skill
Center, with the remaining colleges on schedule
for December and January. Similar to RPS,
Assignments (AKA Contracts) can now be enter-
ed online, routed electronically for approval, and
hired within days or even hours of origination.
This functionality also incorporates the ability to
electronically transfer faculty assignments from
the new Student System directly into HRMS, ready
for the SIS roll out in February.  Soon to follow
will be online Work Study Contracts.

Library Technology Services
Inter-Library Loaning capabilities of the College
libraries was enhanced by installation of soft-
ware that enables the Colleges to scan and
send requested articles to other libraries. This
same technology also allows a lending library
to send a requested article via e-mail to the
MCCCD employee or student who requested the
article be sent that way.

Scottsdale Community College will be the first
College to use the Media Scheduling software
component of the Library Management System
beginning with the Spring 2008 semester. LTS
staff created the necessary system records for
rooms, equipment, and videos in the SCC Media
Center over the summer and fall.  SCC staff will
be trained by LTS staff in December.
