Work Study Integration from Payroll to Financial Aid
Payroll results for Work Study jobs are now available for automated import into SIS Financial Aid module, facilitating a full audit of Financial Work Study awards.

HRMS/CIMS Integration Revamped
With the production roll out of the new CIMS, the integration of employee information to the Directory has been revamped and streamlined. This project affected every major system DSSC ITS runs, involving both students and employees.

HRMS Maintenance Pack 12 and 13 Upgrade
Two major Oracle maintenance pack upgrade bundles were rolled out, bringing the HRMS system up-to-date on all patches and fixes from Oracle.

Bundle 21 SIS
The Database Administrators implemented a set of patches and enhancements known as bundle 21 to the SIS application. These bundles contain mandatory Financial Aid regulations and updated application code.

09-D
The Database Administrators implemented the mandatory Oracle Tax update 09-D that is essential for Human Resources to meet regulatory requirements.

Budgets Upgrade 10g
The Database Administration and BDS teams worked together to upgrade the Budgets database from 9i to Oracle 10g. The new database version has enhanced features that improve performance and new tools that help the Database Administrators monitor the activity on the database.

Implementation of ALEKS
The new pilot Math assessment test, ALEKS, was implemented for PVCC, EMCC and MCC. Since this implementation, DSSC ITS can successfully upload the files from the ALEKS website to the file staging system and run the test results nightly to sis through DOTIDAL. Aleks removes the need for colleges to manually process test files on a daily basis as they do for other placement tests. Also applied to production was the functionality for these test scores to supersede any other Math placement tests. This new assessment tool promotes student success by providing further potential for the student to be placed in the proper Math course from the start.
