Getting It Right : Keys To Information Literacy
Key Skill One

A Success Story

Last year, AlphaRow Entertainment Services, a company that develops travel packages for employees of Fortune 500 companies, grossed $10,000,000 in sales. Eleanor James, president of AlphaRow Entertainment Services, says, : “I attribute the success of ARES to the ability of employees to work together as a team to investigate the characteristics of each company and develop travel options to fit those characteristics. To be successful, they must be able to translate those ideas into a desirable package that fits the goals and needs of each company. Finally, employees must be able to recognize the most appropriate style of delivery for the customer and the situation and develop the presentation and supporting public relations materials to make the sale. Employees at ARES own a share of the company, and most earn well over $75,000 each year.”
