Faith-Based Mentoring- Rev. Brian Nichols, Rev. Erma Staton Faith based ministering addresses the needs of the total person, and becomes the "help" that is desperately needed an sought after. As we reach out by way of one-on-one counseling, teaching and training through biblical principles, study sessions, and in many cases agency referrals for assistance, etc.; we are people committed to helping others overcome obstacles and help them live a better life; we lead by example as Christ leads, and ministers to us, as well. Faith based mentoring stems from Biblical principles, such as Rom's 13:9 (Love your neighbor as yourself); so, we as mentors have received help, it is our charge and passion to pass on, and share what we have learned with others. This is giving others the "right of passage" from the old person who lives in defeat, into that new person who lives holistically and victoriously.
