About Us The Maricopa Council on Black American Affairs (MCBAA) is a sanctioned organization of the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD). MCBAA is a council of the National Council on Black American Affairs (NCBAA), an affiliate organization of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). MCBAA was first established and sanctioned as the Black Educational Task Force (BETF) in 1987. The organizational structure was changed to a council of the National Council on Black American Affairs (NCBAA) in 1990. The name was changed from BETF to MCBAA in support of the affiliation with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). The purpose of MCBAA is to organize and operate for educational purposes as they pertain to African-American people; to the enhancement of African Americans and other cultures; and to the development of the Nations total human resources. MCBAA is comprised of committees responsible for developing programs and activities to support the organizational purpose. MCBAA Goals and Objectives We, the Maricopa Council on Black American Affairs (MCBAA), a sanctioned organization of the Maricopa Community College District, offer for the 2006-2008 term the following Goals and Objectives.
