Project Update

Update #34 brings us to the eve of the beginning of the legacy data conversion and 7 calendar days until February 19, 2008—our go-live date!

Here is a quick update.

Update

• Training issue update—during training, a number of faculty (while using the training database) expressed concerns about personal information being available (social security numbers, date of birth). An error had occurred in that this personal information was not “masked” in the training database. This problem has been corrected and is not longer accessible in this database. Please be assured that in the database used for go-live, only those MCCCD employees authorized to access this information will be able to do so and for all other employees this data is masked.
• The twice daily conference calls between the college and project leads are serving as an effective communications tool. Issues are being resolved in a timely fashion.
• Tonight at 5:00 p.m. legacy will be “taken down” as the data conversion process begins. College staffs across the district are vying to put the last transaction into the legacy system before it goes dark!
