History

The FCRRC is a faculty driven committee that was formed as a district wide initiative supported by the Chancellor, the Chancellor's Executive Council and the Faculty Executive Council.  The Human Resource Division at the District Office also plays a key role in its support of the FCRRC due to the fact that the committee/plan is to recruit and retain faculty of color.  The committee has been in existence since November 2004.  Senate Faculty Presidents appoint a faculty at their college for participation on the committee.  The purpose of the committee is to assist the district in recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing faculty of color.
