Note: The following is a calendar for the 2004-05 Faculty Staffing
Committee. The frequency of meetings
may not be necessary for future committees.
2004-05 necessitated clarification and articulation of the process and
thus more meeting facilitated accomplishment of that goal.

Staffing Process Operationalized, for 06-07 faculty positions

proposals due to Faculty Senate President
(Wed before Spring Break) Everything, supporting
documents, etc.
Fri.
March 11 - Staffing
Committee members are given the proposals
to read, review and rank.
April (1st week) - Mtg to
discuss proposals. Staffing Committee
will
attempt to articulate questions, etc. in preparation
for
mtg w/the Division Chairs
April (2nd wk) - Division
Chairs mt w/Staffing Committee to address
questions, give further (verbal) explanations.
Committee mts. Discusses and ranks
April (3rd
wk) - Senate
President notifies faculty at-large of committee’s
rankings.
April (3rd-4th wk) - Senate
President, President-Elect and DI mt w/College
President to share the committee’s ranking and
recommendations.
May
1 -
The
college presidents make their faculty allocation
proposals to the District.
