Hello All Chairs,

The Spring 2003 staffing cycle is underway. The staffing committee will be making recommendations for RFP/OYO positions to be posted during Fall, 2003 with faculty hires occurring in Fall, 2004. All Departmental staffing requests for new RFP faculty, replacement of RFP faculty due to full retirement or retirement to 49%, transfers, resignations or death must go through the staffing process.

In an effort to improve communication concerning the staffing process, we are establishing a one week comment period. During this time we would appreciate your thoughts on the Calendar, Justification Form, Evaluation Criteria and process. Please get your comments to me by Noon, this Friday, 2/14. I will summarize and forward all comments to the committee on Tuesday, February 18^th. Finalized forms and criteria will be released to the Chairs on Monday, February 24^th. Chair presentations to the staffing committee will be on Wednesday (4/2) and Friday (4/4).
