Faculty Staffing Advisory Committee
Evaluation Criteria
The Staffing Advisory Committee will use the following
criteria to evaluate all departmental requests and develop the position
recommendation list. These guidelines
will be applied to all departmental staffing requests for new RFP faculty,
replacement of RFP faculty due to full retirement or retirement to 49%,
transfers, resignations or death.
Support of Strategic/Departmental Plan:
Development
and/or expansion of programs/curricula/courses, Distance learning, Access to
programs, Extended campuses, Comprehensiveness of college offerings, and the
impact on overall campus community.
Departmental
Status:
Increases/decreases
in full-time to part-time faculty ratios, and enrollment/number of sections/average
per section.
Departmental Issues:
Expanding/developing
programs/curricula/courses, Single or no full-time faculty programs,
Articulation and/or recruitment needs, Difficulty in hiring part-time faculty,
Repeated OYO’s in the same position.
RFP Status Changes:
Full retirements or transfers,
Retirements to 49%, Graduation from 49%, Resignations, Death, Medical leaves.
Special Issues:
Recent hires, MCC Southern-Dobson/Red Mountain
considerations, Capital equipment impact, Departmental specific concerns.
