Faculty Evaluation Plan
Roles of Faculty and Team Members

Because of the confusion about the role of a Team Member and the relationship of the Team to the faculty member, the FEP Committee spelled out the following suggestions/recommendations.

 

ROLE OF A FACULTY MEMBER GOING THROUGH AN FEP:

a. Inform your Team Members specifcally why they were chosen and exactly what they will be doing to assist you.

b. Inform them regarding how much time their assistance will take.

c. Be willing to share your documentation with your Team Members. This would include the evaluation instrument for students or service recipients, and the evaluation results.

d. Inform your Team and chair regarding your timeline, particularly if signatures will be needed after school is over for the summer.

 

ROLE OF THE TEAM MEMBERS:

a. Help narrow the focus of the FEP.

b. Help brainstrom techniques of accomplishing the focus.

c. Help develop evaluation method/questions based on the focus.

d. Provide expertise in your area.

e. Provide encouragement to faculty member.

f. Provide constructive feedback.
