Janet Regner stated that the problem at ASRS created by the passage of HB2029 has been resolved thanks to the Faculty Association's actions and faculty member John Walsh who brought the matter to the Faculty Association attention.  The Director of ASRS admitted that the problem the legislation created for nine-month employees was an oversight and confirmed that ASRS had moved to fix the problem.  Janet said that a call center has been created to answer questions and that ASRS staff was moving through a list of calls this past summer from people who were turned down.  The ASRS website will have additional information.  Janet informed Council that faculty have until December 31^st to request buy back service under the old program.
