Council was reminded about the MCCCD Mission and Vision statement that they reviewed at the last meeting.  Sandra Stuebner asked Council for input to send forward.  Council agreed that the vision statement was no more than a motto or slogan and the general reaction was negative; a suggestion to redo the entire document and review the well-articulated goals and missions of the colleges was made.  A suggestion to review the Higher Learning Commission's website for assistance was offered.  Council discussed a mission statement that would list bullet points.  Another suggested including "citizenship engagement" in the mission statement.
