Council was asked about Intellectual Property Rights in regards to classroom materials such as a PowerPoint presentation and who owns the material.  Reyes Medrano stated that he has asked Mike to research this question and asked Maggie McConnell from the District Legal Department to visit with Council at its next meeting in November.  Reyes mentioned that he just came back from a conference addressing Intellectual Property Rights and the speakers said that it depends on who is interpreting the rules of Intellectual Property Rights and how good they are at persuading others.
