FEC President's Report
Barry Vaughan reported on the following activities:
On May 14, 2008, a Formal Level 4 Grievance was filed with Dr. Rufus Glasper against the District in response to the Meet and Confer Board Team requesting that the Governing Board make three unilateral changes to the Residential Faculty Policies outside of the Meet and Confer process. Barry reported that, previously, an informal grievance had been sent to the Governing Board by Janice Reilly, Chair of the 2007-08 Meet and Confer Team, however, the Governing Board did not respond to Janice's letter. No response has been received for the Level 4 Grievance. Dr. Glasper is supposed to speak to the Governing Board at their executive session later in the evening, and it remains to be seen if the Board offers something.
