Writing @ Work; Monday, September 28 and Thursday, October 1
Writing @ Work is a two-part event that features panel discussions on the importance and significance of writing across the curriculum and outside the educational arena. The nature of academic disciplines can fragment writing for students, preventing them from seeing the interconnectedness that exists. Each panel discussion will open up a dialogue between students and faculty and the public in order to demonstrate how writing is at work in various fields. The aim is to crystallize the writing connection between academic disciplines and between education and the professional world.
