Training Style of Discrimination? The ADL Many Faces of Hate Film Series Continues at Scottsdale Community College – April 18

~Film will be followed by an open discussion~

Scottsdale, AZ (April 5, 2012) – Join us at Scottsdale Community College on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 for Training Rules, the final film of the semester in The ADL Many Faces of Hate monthly film series. Scottsdale Community College is located at 9000 E. Chaparral Rd., Scottsdale.

Training Rules is a compelling documentary that examines how women's collegiate sports, caught in a web of homophobic practices, colludes in the destruction of the lives and dreams of many of its most talented athletes.

Rene Portland had three training rules during her 26 years coaching basketball at Penn State University: no drinking, no drugs, and no lesbians.

This documentary surveys how a wealthy athletic department, enabled by the silence of a complacent university, allowed talented athletes, thought to be gay, to be dismissed from their college team.
