GATEWAY TO HOST UNIQUE VOLUNTEER FAIR & JOB FAIR FOR MATURE WORKERS
Public invited to Sept. 16 & Sept. 24 events to learn more about volunteer & job opportunities
PHOENIX, Arizona – In today's economy, Phoenix residents are doing their best to make the most out of every volunteer and job opportunity available. To help raise awareness of available volunteer and job openings, GateWay Community College will be home to two unique events that highlight both volunteer/service learning positions and job opportunities for mature workers.
The Volunteer/Service-Learning Fair takes place from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, in the main building at GateWay Community College, located at 108 N. 40th Street in Phoenix. The event will feature several local organizations that offer volunteer opportunities for students and community members alike as well as information about AmeriCorps. The Job Fair for Mature Workers takes place from 1-4 p.m., Thursday, September 24, in the main building at GateWay Community College, located at 108 N. 40th Street in Phoenix. The event will feature several local companies looking to hire mature workers in a variety of positions and areas of expertise. The event is free and open to the public.
