Learn to Save Money in Your Pocket at Phoenix College Downtown Campus
(PHOENIX, AZ; September 14, 2009) - Phoenix College is offering a Financial Investment Lunch and Learn Series at its downtown campus to provide professional advice on how to adopt better spending habits and how to make investments grow…even in today's economy.
In the current economic environment, the decision to buy a new car, start a new business, or retire might be considered a risky investment. But as people start becoming conscious about their spending habits, they can learn how to make better financial decisions. The Financial Investment Lunch and Learn Series at Phoenix College Downtown provides an ideal opportunity for anyone to expand their financial knowledge.
Series topics range from buying a car at half the mark-up price to launching a successful marketing plan. Many seminars are conveniently scheduled during lunch hours and on weekends at a low fee of $19 - $45 each. Participants can choose all or any of the seminars offered.
The PC Downtown campus, located in a beautifully restored historic building, is conveniently situated off the light rail route on 640 N. 1st Ave. (on 1st Ave. between McKinley St. and Fillmore St.) in Phoenix.

Financial Investment Lunch and Learn Series at Phoenix College include the following:
- September 16 – November 4; Wednesdays
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
"News & Money" is a class that will provide participants with an in-depth look at current events and how they affect money and investments, including a broad historical perspective of the economy and the stock market.
- September 23 - 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
During these volatile times and difficult markets, those who plan on retiring need a great plan. The "Bullet Proof Your Retirement Plan" class will provide an in-depth look at the markets and will teach participants the strategies that can help them maintain financial independence and security for a lifetime.
- October 9 - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Now more than ever, business owners require a marketing plan that will get the best return on their marketing investment. The half-day seminar called "Create a Marketing Plan that Creates Profit" will help entrepreneurs launch a successful marketing plan.
- November 18 - 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
"Managing Your Investments in a Changing World" is a class designed for those interested in learning about the current market conditions and what strategies today's most successful investors are using to protect and grow their wealth. Participants will also learn to alter their investment portfolio by managing risks and taking opportunities.
- December 16 -12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Those planning to retire in the near future often have many questions. Will I be able to retire when I want and the way I want? Will I have enough money to maintain a secure, independent and enjoyable lifestyle throughout retirement? Learn how to avoid investments that might fail to meet one's standard of living during retirement years. The class "Attention Baby Boomer, How Prepared are you for Retirement?" will teach strategies that can help maintain financial security after retirement.
