Maricopa County Community College District, Professional Staff Association is committed to providing a united voice for Professional Staff employees by encouraging professionalism, education, advancement, friendship, diversity and volunteerism.

A target
Unity – See Action Plan
Purpose: Unite PSA and all MCCCD in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration by working with other policy and constituency groups, encouraging participation in PSA meetings and events, celebrating our diversity, and creating a Professional Staff Association with a strong uniformity of purpose.

Educate - See Action Plan
Purpose: Encourage employees to take advantage of learning opportunities – whether through PSD, PSI, PEL, EOLT, MOSAIC, Creative Pathways, attending PSA meetings, or becoming an officer/representative at the unit or district-wide level.

ENERGIZE AND EMPOWER – See Action Plan
Purpose: Energize employees by promoting, a spirit of creativity, fun, learning, and service to others, preparing Professional Staff to move into areas of greater responsibilities within Maricopa. Knowledge and understanding of Maricopa policies will ultimately lead to ownership of our decisions and actions, ensuring integrity and personal success.

* The ALL PSA Presidents Meeting will be a tightly facilitated meeting with the Executive Board and the Campus/Unit Presidents (or their designees).  The meetings will focus on training campus/unit Presidents to better facilitate meetings and follow PSA Policy/Constitution procedures and to communicate mutual concerns.  These meetings will end promptly at 1:55PM.

** The PSA Executive Council and General Meeting will start at 2 PM.  All PS employees are encouraged to attend the regular meetings.  Please Note: Only voting members can vote on issues related to PSA as per the PSA Policy and the Constitution.  All policy changes are voted on by all PS employees.

tPSA Meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of the month.  Exceptions include the Holiday Luncheon, the March meeting (due to Spring Break), and the Summer Conference which is on a Friday and Saturday date.
