Guest Speaker: Judy Castellanos from Human Resources spoke for a few minutes and
asked which campuses would like to have training for PSA staff as well as for
the Supervisors.

Treasurer – Ann Moss reported that there is no change in the report from the
January meeting because the bank statement has not been received yet.

also reported that the regular membership period has ended. Only new employees will be able to pay dues
– at half the regular rate – until July 1, 2001.

President – Rachel read a report from Dorothy.
She mentioned the deadline of May 1 for nominating Outstanding PSA
members. Dorothy also indicated that
units should be thinking about who would like to host the holiday luncheon this
year. She will call for volunteers at
the next meeting. Sherri Faulkner is
asking for input regarding supervisory training.

- Nancy Musser reported that a new logo has been developed for PEL. Information about the program is to be
distributed to campus representatives next week.

PSI
– The deadline for applications is March 7.

EBAC
- no meeting until March 21 Pat Smith
will attend that meeting.
- CPD - Debbie Bies reported that 84 ballots have been
received and reminded everyone to vote.
Scott Kozak indicated that some employees were waiting for clarification
on items before they voted.

FAC
– Randy Stapley reported that the February 12 meeting was cancelled. The committee is finalizing this year’s
budget. Proposals submitted totaled
approximately $40 million and there is approximately $26 million available
- Summer Conference – Rachel Hollingsworth reported that the tentative date for the conference is July 20-21. The location and the keynote speaker should be decided by next month – a meeting is scheduled for March 9. Some of the workshops mentioned include self-defense, budgeting, stress reduction, new technologies. Carolyn Percifull, GCC, asked about budgeting for speakers. There are a number of instructors who might be interested in teaching a class. Rachel replied that there is a limited budget for speakers.

Scott
indicated that he had visited Pappas School and was very impressed their
work. Pappas School is the charity for
April, as well as the Senior Center.

Seminar Day - The Second Annual PSA
Seminar Day will be Friday March 30.
Watch for more information.

Social Event – will be a moonlight boat ride at Saguaro Lake – sometime in
May. The date will be determined by the
phase of the moon.
Scott led a discussion regarding the proposed
policies currently being reviewed and asked for some clarification on behalf of
PSA employees at his campus

Speaker: Anna Solley, Vice Chancellor of Academic
Affairs and Student Development
Dr. Solley introduced herself and talked about things that are happening in the division. She answered questions regarding International Education, recruiting of faculty, the use of money from Proposition 301. She distributed a copy of the directory for the division that lists the departments, personnel, and the duties/responsibilities of the department.

intent of past policies)
