out children object codes 59930 - 59949. Parent accounts
are for summary purposes only; transactions are not posted.
Mandatory Transfer object codes are used only for a very
limited number of transactions; objects may not be used
unless approved by the Controller or her designee. Objects
under this parent are used to record transactions that
represent mandatory transfers of financial resources
into other funds. Mandatory transfers include any amounts
required to be moved between fund groups as defined under
legislative, legal, contractual, or grant requirements.
Mandatory transfers do not include interfund transactions
that constitute loans, advances, reimbursements, or external
transactions. Mandatory transfers do not include routine
or non-routine voluntary transfers of funds. NOTE: Mandatory
transfers to all agency funds are considered to be to
outside sources and are reported as other expenditures.
