Lydia A. Aranda

Lydia Aranda is Vice President, Multi-Cultural Relations for Wells Fargo.

Formerly with Arizona Department of Commerce, Ms. Aranda served as director of Small Business Services and the Governor's Small Business Advocate. She works with entrepreneurs, community leaders, business organizations and government officials on three main objectives: support, opportunities and advocacy. In 2003, she left her role as director of Business Development and Community Relations for Metagraphix, Inc. to enter public service.

 

Ms. Aranda has nearly 20 years experience in national and global marketing, business development and client relations. She specializes in: creating client relationships; building and strengthening business/community alliances; launching e-business/IT implementations; and developing strategies. She has worked in the telecommunications, finance, education, law, public relations and fashion industries. She also served in political and administrative roles at the US Embassy to Uruguay. Ms. Aranda grew up in Tempe, where her father and mother are Arizona State University teachers/administrators in the W. P. Carey School of Business and the Colleges of Education and Liberal Arts and Sciences, respectively.

She has a bachelor of science degree in Intercultural Communication from ASU. Ms. Aranda serves on the Commission for Excellence at Mesa Community College. She is also on the boards of Arizona Center for Disability Law, Future For Kids and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
