Robert O. Salmon
Robert
Salmon has been in higher education for over 16 years and currently serves
as Executive Director of the Arizona
Community College Association. He came to this position after serving
as Vice President and District Provost at Yavapai College in Prescott.
Prior to Yavapai College, he was executive director of academic affairs
for the southwestern United States at the University of Phoenix. He also
has been dean of the College of Business Technology Communications and
assistant to the president at Southern Utah University. He was a professor
in the Business Department there as well.
Mr. Salmon’s extensive industry experience includes work as senior
vice president at Fidelity Investments, vice president at Citibank and
worldwide director of Travelers Cheque Refunds at American Express. Combining
knowledge and experience in the private and public sector has provided
an excellent background for his role as commissioner and board chair of
commissions of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs,
the nation’s largest accreditation association of business schools
and programs.
He holds a master of public administration from Arizona State University
and a bachelor of arts in forensic communications from Brigham Young University.
