"I used to live near the State Capitol as a child, and I would always wonder what it was like in those buildings and what went on inside of them. I never thought that I would have the chance to get a hands-on look at what goes on and how a bill is really passed step by step." Diondra Howard (SPPF 08-09)
Journalism major, Paradise Valley CC
"SPPF gave me real world experience so that I am now confident in political change.
Having had the opportunity to lobby Congress on issues that affect students and my community, my current advocacy is much more effective.
I gained priceless skills and experiences thanks to SPPF." Johnny Mendez (SPPF 05-06)
Political Science major, Phoenix College
"It was really cool to actually visit the Senate floor and see what goes on in the State Legislature...
"SPPF gave me a better understanding of the teamwork that is involved in the policymaking process...
"I am glad that we have state legislators that appreciate young people." Albert Ojeda (08-09)
Estrella Mountain CC
"SPPF was an amazing experience. The opportunities I was given taught me how to speak with power and confidence on the issues that affect me as a student. SPPF prepared me to go to D.C. to advocate to our nation's policymakers and truly feel like I made an impact.
I now know how to make my voice heard on the issues I care about most." Rachel Naylor (SPPF 07-08)
Political Science major, Scottsdale CC
