The Maricopa ACE Native American Initiative was launched in 2007 with the primary purpose of increasing the number of Native American students’ participation in all ten ACE programs.
The Native American Initiative follows a seven component plan on increasing recruitment with additional combined focus on retention of Native American students. The Maricopa ACE Native American Initiative increased enrollment of Native American students by 30% after the first year of the Initiative and strives to increase each year, thereafter.
