Career Services / Job Placement aids students in developing, evaluating and implementing career plans by helping students:

  • Analyze interests, aptitudes, abilities, work experience, personal traits and desired lifestyle
  • Engage in personal assessment and evaluation
  • Obtain occupational information
  • Explore employment opportunities
  • Present themselves effectively as candidates
  • Obtain placement in employment or further professional preparation

Mission Statement:
The MCCD Career Council is dedicated to working collaboratively to create a framework of common standards for career center operations and to respond to changing environments. The MCCD Career Council:

  • Discusses emerging trends and develops strategic responses
  • Solves day-to-day operational issues of common concerns
  • Shares resources, research, contacts and processes
  • Improves and promotes linking of students with the business community through systematic activities such as the Maricopa Recruiter System
  • Provides continuing education and information for internal and external District customers
  • Promotes and provides professional development opportunities to District & statewide career services professionals
  • Researches and writes grant proposals to fund leading edge programs & services
  • Use of leading edge technology to support the above-mentioned objectives
  • Advocates for appropriately educated and trained professionals experienced in career development model to staff individual career centers
