Mission
The Maricopa Community College’s Student Orientation and Recruitment Council (SOAR) collaborates to proactively address common issues affecting the planning, expansion and implementation of quality orientation, recruitment and outreach programs that encourage life long learning for the diverse communities member colleges serve.

Our Council fulfills this mission through:

• Collaborative partnerships and programs
• Maintaining standards in content and delivery
• Responding to needs of diverse communities and populations
• Evaluation and measurement of program effectiveness
• Supporting continuous student learning and retention
• Procuring resources and financial support

Vision
The Maricopa Community College’s Student Orientation and Recruitment Council (SOAR) is committed to increasing awareness of educational opportunities to diverse communities through the efficient and collaborative use of resources. SOAR members strive to foster student success and goal achievement through creative, consistent, comprehensive, and quality SOAR program.
