Honors Programs
The Honors Program at the Maricopa Community Colleges provides intellectually stimulating learning opportunities for academically outstanding students. The features of the program include specific programs at each college, Honors courses, Speakers Forum addressing an annual theme, scholarships, and connections with Phi Theta Kappa.
The Honors Program provides opportunities for students and faculty to engage in stimulating and challenging intellectual activities throughout the semester. Recent high school graduates, returning adults, continuing students, and transfer students may apply.
The purpose of the Honors Program is to foster greater depth of thought in reading, writing, and discussion with faculty and guest lecturers that will better prepare Honors students to complete degrees or to begin their careers. A variety of academic scholarships and fee waivers are available to eligible Honors Program students.
