Mentor Program
The Women’s Leadership Group Mentor Program (WLG) is designed to provide opportunities for participants to focus on individual learning goals and professional opportunities within the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD). MCCCD encourages employees to prepare for and seek professional growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities for the mentee include:
- Establishing professional development and mentor program goals.
- Committing to monthly meetings with mentor.
- Working with mentor in evaluating progress.
- Committing to monthly program seminars.
Key responsibilities for the mentor include:
- Establishing trust and building and maintaining the mentoring relationship.
- Creating a learning environment that facilitates professional growth while understanding what the parties bring to the relationship.
Monthly seminars, featuring Maricopa women, provide information on job-search skills such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, and insight into MCCCD's hiring process.
