The WLG’s Dr. Gina Kranitz Memorial Scholarship was honored as the 2010 District wide DAC Award of Excellence recipient. DAC, Maricopa’s Diversity Advisory Council, “supports a diverse and inclusive environment where mutual respect and equity are encourages and valued, one that actively seeks to understand and incorporate views from dissimilar or divergent frames of reference. (DAC, April 15, 2005).
The WLG is an inclusive constituency group which helps promote leadership for all employees and gives women the opportunity to lead in a different role then they might be able to in their current position. The scholarship is one way the WLG supports women in continuing their educational and career goals. Scholarship recipients exemplify WLG core values of innovation, leadership, service and diversity.
