WOMEN HONORED FOR LEADERSHIP, INNOVATION AND SERVICE
Maricopa Community Colleges name “Women of Distinction”

Twelve women from the Maricopa Community Colleges have been named "Women of Distinction" for their leadership and service. The distinguished achievement honor is designed to recognize the contributions of women throughout the district who particularly dedicate service to women and the colleges.

The Women's Leadership Group of the Maricopa Community Colleges sponsors the annual event.

The twelve “Women of Distinction” for 2005 and their colleges are:

  • Polly Miller, E-Learning Faculty, Estrella Mountain Community College
  • Lisa Young, Director, Water Technology and Occupational Safety Programs, GateWay Community College
  • Jill Suydam, Chemistry Faculty, Glendale Community College
  • Elva Marin, Administrative Assistant, Mesa Community College
  • Patti Marsh, Chair, Business and Information Technology, Paradise Valley Community College
