Mr. Kahl coordinates faculty externships and curriculum reform for the High-Tech Workforce Initiative, made possible by the National Science Foundation. He works with faculty and industry representatives to build partnerships, create opportunities for professional development, and update High-Tech Manufacturing curriculum. He joined the Center for Workforce Development in 2008.

Mr. Kahl’s background before joining the Center for Workforce Development was in instructional design at a private technology university, the University of Advancing Technology. Prior to that, Mr. Kahl was a director and teacher for at-risk students in the charter school system in the greater Phoenix area. He earned his B.S. degrees in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of South Dakota, and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
